Getting Started with ADL

What is ADL?

Astria Digital Library (ADL) is an online platform designed to give students access to a wide range of digital academic and non-academic resources. It enables reading, searching and organizing e-books and documents for learning and research purposes.

Logging in for the First Time

1. Open your browser and go to the ADL login page provided by your institution.

2. Enter your assigned username and password.

3. On your first login, you will be prompted to review the Terms and Conditions. Ensure you accept them before proceeding. 

4. Once logged in, you will be taken to the Dashboard where you can begin exploring resources.

Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is your starting point on the ADL. It displays:

• Recently accessed books

• Quick links to the search menu, bookshelf and favorites

• Notifications

• Your current reading progress and your reading list

Student Roles

On the ADL Students can:

• Search and read digital books

• Save books to their personal bookshelf

• Create and manage a favorites list

• Adjust reading settings for better comfort

• Access resources anytime and anywhere

How to Access and Read Books

1. Use the Search menu to find a book by title, author, keyword or ISBN

2. Click on the book title to open it

3. Use the built-in reader to navigate pages, zoom in/out, or bookmark

4. You can also save the book to your bookshelf of favorites for easy access later
